Clovers Safety Services provides Health and Safety Courses. The course designed by Quality Austria Gulf to provide concentrated and comprehensive training in the theory and practice of auditing OHSAS management systems and processes. It provides detailed coverage to the OHSAS 18000 series of standard and ISO 19011:2011, “Guidelines for Quality and/or Environmental Management Systems Auditing.” The course is committed to providing the most comprehensive coverage of both technical knowledge and practical skills essential to become a competent lead auditor. It establishes the responsibilities of an OHSAS auditor and the techniques and methodology that are required to effectively audit and OHSAS management system.

Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course delegates should be able to:
 
• Describe the purpose and scope of an OHSAS management system 
• Introduce Risk assessment principles and processes
• Interpret requirements of OHSAS 18001:2007 in the auditing terms
• Demonstrate their capacity to apply OHSAS management system audit principles and practices to OHSAS 18001;2007
• Outline the skills required for auditing OHSAS management systems
• Demonstrate the processes involved with managing audit programs, initiating an audit, preparing for an audit, conducting on-site audit activities, reporting on audit findings and conducting post-audit activities
• Outline the personal and interpersonal skills required to conduct a management systems audit
• Demonstrate the appropriate oral, written and non-verbal communication techniques that are desirable for lead management systems auditors.
 
Methodology
The training course includes the very latest international information and techniques. The course makes extensive use of case studies, team analysis, and group discussions as well as formal classroom teaching.

Duration, Examination & Certificate
 
The course is of 5 days duration. Written examination will be conducted on the last day. Certificate of Successful Completion/Attendance will be issued to delegates.
 
Prerequisite Requirement
 
Prior to attending this course, it is recommended that participants possess adequate knowledge of OHSAS 18001:2007standard and some prior knowledge of OHSAS MS auditing.
 
 IRCA Certified Course (A17616)
 
This course is registered by the governing board of the IQA –International Register of Certified Auditors (IRCA) and meets part of the training requirements of those seeking registration as a lead auditor under that scheme.

Eligibility

Prior knowledge of Occupational health & safety management principles and concepts, basic knowledge of managing occupational health and safety through hazard identification, risk assessment and risk control and compliance with legal and other requirements, a basic knowledge of common examples of relevant national and local OHSAS legislation and requirements and commonly used OHSAS terms and definitions as given in OHSAS 18001.
