The HABC Level 2 Award in Fire Safety (QCF) has been accredited by the regulators of England, Wales and Northern Ireland (Ofqual, Welsh Government, and CCEA) and is part of the Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF). Syllabus
Understand the hazards and risks associated with fire in the workplace
Understand how fire risk is controlled in the workplace
Understand the principles and practice of fire safety management at work
Understand the role of the nominated fire warden
Target Audience:
Anyone interested in a career in Health and Safety, Team Leaders, Managers or Supervisors responsible for the well-being of their workforce, Safety Officers and HR Professionals, Facilities Managers. The Level 2 Award in Fire Safety is a qualification also aimed at anyone involved in the management of fire safety in any workplace. This includes managers, supervisors, team leaders, fire wardens (marshals) and staff working in any area where there is a potential risk of fire.
Progression and further learning routes include:
1. Level 3/4 Fire Risk Assessment qualifications.
2. Level 3 Award in Health and Safety.
Must have adequate hold on written and spoken English. Experience in health and safety would be an added advantage.
The course has a study time of 9 learning hours (2 days).
